Woven wood shades are no longer the cheap, store bought roll ups from
the late 1970's. All of our woven wood blinds are high quality with
integrate patterns and grasses to serve any type of room decor.
Since
the green movement, the natural looking home, and the advances in the
patterns and weaves, woven woods no longer give the feel of just a
tropical environment but serve as a stand alone treatment for any type
of decor. Do remember though, these are natural. Colors can very from
blind to blind. For the best match, be sure to order all at once if they
are in the same room. These can also change color and consistency over
time. We will warrant these for defects in workman ship but not in
slight color changes.
Our woven wood blinds have several options
that an be used to make this the optimal window covering choice. First,
you can add a fabric backing to the woven wood blind. Some of the
materials are very porous and you can see through them. With a light
filtering or blackout backing, it will give you privacy plus protect the
material from damage by the sun. If you need to pull colors out of the
room and draw it to the window, then a band edging may be a good choice.
The band edging is simply a piece of colored or textured cotton strip
that is attached down the edges, bottom and across the valance. There
are a number of choices to choose from and it will provide protection to
the edge of the woven wood shade. The top down bottom up will allow you
to drop the top down only for a view but will keep the bottom part
closed. Most find they use this option more than the regular up and
down.
