Sunscreen blinds and solar shades are becoming more popular each year. You can see through this fabric and at the same time, block out the harmful UV rays. The fabric for the sunscreens is actually slightly narrower than the parts it is attached to. Read below for more information.

Sunscreens are made of a see through mesh. It is woven tight enough to block a lot of heat and UV rays but open enough to give you a view. When it comes to the solar shade, the openness of the fabric comes first.  The lower the number, the harder it is to see out of. The tighter the weave, the less view but ,more protection from the heat and cold. The more open, the better the view.

We offer high quality fabric from Mermet and Phifer. The roller mechanisms are heavy duty and designed to last. All are fire retardant. Shipping normally takes a few days. Sample are free of charge.

For ALL roller blinds (sheers, roller shades, sunscreens or any blind that rolls up), the fabric is narrower than the roller. It has to be this way to make room for the mechanisms that operate the blind and the fabric. The gap is the most significant of all our products and that is why this is here. There is a 1 1/2" total difference between the roller and the fabric. For inside the window (inside mount) there is nothing you can do about this so decide if that gap is acceptable. If not, you need to choose a different type of blind. For outside the windows (outside mount), you do have a choice. If you need the FABRIC to be a certain width, add to this measurement to make room for the roller. We will take the measurements including the headrail, not just the fabric size.
