Blackout rollers shades are becoming a very popular window treatment
option especially for areas where you need no light such as bedrooms or
TV rooms. Please note: Fabrics are 1 3/8" narrower than the headrails.

Blackout roller shades and roller blinds are the perfect solutions for day sleepers, nurseries and media rooms.
It is true that you can still get those solid vinyl blackout roller shades. Although much thicker than you will find at a box store, we offer those. They are an affordable blackout roller shade that is heavy duty with a lifetime warranty.
However, today, most blackout roller blinds offer a whole variety of color options previously not found with the solid vinyl type. They still have a thin vinyl backing but fabric is fused on the front to match pretty much any decor. Also, the vinyl is now mostly white facing the street which was not the case in most instances of the solid vinyl type. People love this and so do HOA's.
There are several options you can choose to add with the blackout roller shade. The most popular is the cassette headrail system. This is a solid, heavy duty cassette where the blind fits up into. It hides the roller and finishes out the treatment. The factory will add the same materiel across the front of the cassette to blend the cassette with fabric below. Second is the fascia valance. it is the same concept except it is a solid piece of metal (5 colors to choose from) and is squared out. It give a more industrial or modern look to the shade. Cordless is still popular and so is motorization. All of our blackout roller blinds come standard with a beaded chain looped cord. These are heavy duty and operate smoothly. All of these options can be selected on the following page after you select the color and size that you need. Simply hit the options pull down and select it.
For ALL roller blinds (sheers, roller shades, sunscreens or any blind that rolls up), the fabric is narrower than the roller. It
has to be this way to make room for the mechanisms that operate the
blind and the fabric. The gap is the most significant of all our
products and that is why this is here. There is a 1 1/2" total
difference between the roller and the fabric. For inside the window
(inside mount) there is nothing you can do about this so decide if that
gap is acceptable. If not, you need to choose a different type of
blind. For outside the windows (outside mount), you do have a choice.
If you need the FABRIC to be a certain width, add to this measurement
to make room for the roller. We will take the measurements including
the headrail, not just the fabric size. We are not responsible for this
so call if you have questions.
These products are custom made for you. So, please be sure you
understand what you are ordering. There are no returns or refunds for
mismeasured items, wrong fabric or color selection - but we want to
help you through all these decisions.
