What do I Do? My Blind is too Narrow!
Back to Oops I made a mistake!
I strongly recommend that when in doubt, ship it back! Some of the repairs outlined are a last resort before having to reorder the blind. Note: Some of these repairs will void the warranty!
This is one of the worst things to happen because you can always cut a blind but you can't widen it. If the blind is not ordered way too narrow, you can often salvage the blind instead of reordering it.
1. Tools needed: A pencil and regular installation tools.
2. Place the blind in the center of the window and mark both sides of the blind to the top of the window. Make sure to have it even on both sides.
3. Drill the brackets up into the top instead of the side and put the blind in.
