Remote controlled cellular shades are designed for hard to reach windows
and media rooms. The motor is affordable and the remote control is easy
to use.
Although you can get a hard wired electric cellular shade, most are battery operated. The batteries in our remote controlled cell shades are easy to switch out and can last up to two years. The motors work fairly quietly and smooth. Choose motorized cellular shades today!
We have two types of electric cellular shades. The first is the infrared in which you simply point the remote at the blind to get it to operate. Just like your television remote. The blind has to be in the line of sight with the remote control. The line of sight is usually 30 feet or less. The second type of remote controlled honeycomb shade is the radio remote control blind. This runs off a radio frequency and just like your garage opener, has no problem going through walls. You can control the blind from any location in your home. The cost difference can be significant. Radio can be 30% to 50% more expensive.
Some of the options available with the blinds include a satellite eye for the infrared which is basically a cord with the infrared eye at the end. This option is used mainly when the eye of the blind is covered by say a drape or curtain. You can also get a remote battery pack for the same reason. You never want to switch batteries, then a plug in adapter is a viable option. For the radio remote, you can pick different channel remotes. The most common is the single channel which will control all your blinds at the same time. The second is the 5 channel remote. This is where you can control groups of five with just a touch of a button.
The maximum height for our remote controlled cellular shades is 96".
