Options Available for Light Filtering Shades

		Inside Mount The blind is mounted inside the window frame; offers a tailored look, emphasizing the actual size of the window.  Any deductions will be made by the manufacturer.  Window casing should at least meet the minimum depth required to accommodate the brackets, or the flush mount depth to have the headrail fully recessed in the casing.  When selecting your size, enter the actual dimensions of your window casing.
		Outside Mount The blind is mounted on the wall or molding outside the window frame to cover an area larger than the window itself.  Outside mounted blinds are required if the window casing is not deep enough to accommodate the mounting brackets for an inside mount.  When selecting your size, enter the desired size of the blind itself - at least 1 1/2" of overlap on each side is recommended.
		Standard Cordlock You pull a string to lift the blind up and down. Pull outwards to lock and inwards to release.
		Standard Cordlock Top Down/Bottom Up You have two strings. One to lift it up and down like a normal shades and one on the other side to drop the shade down from the top. Our most popular upgrade.
		Continuous Cord Loop A thick cord lifts the blind up and down. The headrails are thicker and more sturdy. The string never gets longer. You just pull the loop. These are made for very large windows and are required for some sizes.
		Standard Cordless The shade operates with a handle or handles located at the bottom. Simply lift them up or down to raise or lower the shade
		Cordless- Top Down/Bottom Up You have two handles. One at the bottom to lift it up and down like normal and one at the top that allows you to drop the shade while still maintaining privacy.
		2 on 1 Headrail These are two working blinds on one common headrail. They are designed for large windows. You can get the standard cordlock controls or the continuous cord loop. Other options are not available. Call for pricing.
		Radio Remote Motorization Simply hit the up and down button to operate. Works on 8 Lithium AA batteries and up to 45 feet away.

Detailed Description for Light Filtering Shades

While you may love the warmth and inviting glow of sunshine cascading through your windows, there may be times when that very same sunshine can be a bit too much as well. If you have larger windows in for instance in a bathroom, they may be wonderful for drenching a room with sun, but the fact of the matter is, that same effect can also make things quite hot in the summer, and prevent you from sleeping in, taking a nap, or enjoying the kinds of media that may require a darker ambiance.

In cases such as these, single cell light filtering shades may be exceedingly useful. 'Honeycomb shades' as they are also called utilize a pleated fabric that is put together in multiple sheets using a honeycomb pattern for the specific purpose of filtering light.

They can be particularly useful in your bedroom, bathroom, your child's nursery, or a media room that has a projector or other large screen requiring a lower level of light for best viewing. Additionally, as cutting down on the amount of sun can have a direct impact on the temperature of a room, utilizing these shades is also a great way to cut down on the cost of cooling a room or household as well. The only disadvantage to speak of with single cell light filtering shades is that due to their nature, in addition to defusing light, they also block views of the outside when drawn, and once installed, they would need to be full opened to see out of but for bathroom window blinds, you would want that privacy effect while allowing light in

If you are the owner of a home with large windows that gets too hot in the summer, you like napping during the day, or you have issues with direct sunlight interfering with the view of your projector or large screen television than these shades may be a good option for you to consider.
