Inside MountThe blind is mounted inside the window frame; offers a tailored look, emphasizing the actual size of the window. Any deductions will be made by the manufacturer. Window casing should at least meet the minimum depth required to accommodate the brackets, or the flush mount depth to have the headrail fully recessed in the casing. When selecting your size, enter the actual dimensions of your window casing. |

Outside MountThe blind is mounted on the wall or molding outside the window frame to cover an area larger than the window itself. Outside mounted blinds are required if the window casing is not deep enough to accommodate the mounting brackets for an inside mount. When selecting your size, enter the desired size of the blind itself - at least 1 1/2" of overlap on each side is recommended. |

Woven Wood BackingThis blind backing provides privacy, a neutral appearance to the outside, and reduces light and UV transmission protecting the shade. Blackout backing fabrics are thicker and will be white facing the window and not allow light through the blind. |

The backings reduce light and UV transmissions helping to protect both your room and the shade. I just got my blinds and overall I like the look of the woven rope. Color is great. However I have two problems. Instead of the valance being complete, they include "sides" that velcro on to each end of the valance. But the blind valances are neither flat nor exactly the same length as the pieces you're supposed to velcro on. And so it just looks super cheap. They also stick out because of the thick velcro. I tried to use a light colored thread to sew the "sides" and front together so there weren't a bunch of gaps, but the weave is not secured on the edges and so will just slip off the edge. That is my other issue. The construction isn't the best. I would think they wouldn't have left the edges to just come apart. When you pull the string to raise or lower it inevitably gets caught in the edge. In time, I am sure this will ruin the edge of the blind by fraying it. I know they are "discount" blinds, but I paid approx. $130 for a 34" x 60" and would have thought I 'd get more quality for that kind of money.

These blinds are really attractive. They were produced and shipped very quickly. They are better than I had expected, great quality, easy to install. I would just warn you that if you are seeking privacy, these won't do the trick. You can clearly see through them. But they will add a nice aesthetic to a room and also control the strength of sunlight.

They are in my living room and look great. They don't squeak when you open and close them like some of my other wovens. The only complaint I have is when you open them the woven doesn't always sit perfectly straight so I have to adjust it. No one else will ever notice but me. I think they are great overall especially for the price I paid for them.
