Honeycomb Shades, also known as Cellular Shades, feature a solid fabric that stacks like an accordion.
When the shade is tilted sideways, it resembles a honeycomb beehive. The air pocket design provides increased energy efficiency. Shades Shutters Blinds has over 100 colors and options to choose from. Our most popular upgrade is the top down bottom up option: where the shade can go up and down like normal or drop from the top! Cellular Shades have one of the highest R-Values of all products offered by Shades Shutters Blinds. The R-Value is how much energy efficiency your shades have for blocking out the heat and cold. Light-Filtering Cellular Shades are the most popular of this collection. Most provide total privacy while allowing light in. Choose from the 3/8" pleat cellular shade, the 1/2" pleat, the famous double cell or the most popular, the 3/4" pleat cell.
Room Darkening and Blackout Cellular Shades : We offer three types of room darkening honeycomb shades. The first is the Double Cell Room Darkening Shade. They are constructed from our most energy efficient fabrics. They block around 80% of the light and have a light grey backing. Blackout Shades are offered with a 3/8" pleat (cell) and a 3/4" pleat (cell). Both of these are white facing the back and let no light in. Great for day sleepers, media rooms and baby rooms.
Slumber Cell Shades by Comfortex - Comfortex makes this unique side track system that lets no light in from the edges. It can provide up to 5 times higher R-Values versus a regular blind. This made the 2009 energy tax credit! These are very popular for hotter climates as well as media rooms where light seepage can be an issue.
Vertical Cellular Blinds - great for sliding glass doors and made of the same 3/4" cell materials listed above. However, it is vertical and on a sliding track system. They feature a handle and slide back and forth with ease. Available in the 3/4" light filtering cells and the 3/4" total blackout cells.
