First, take out the arch. The”V” part where the sticker is located is the bottom of the arch. The longer plexi-glass goes in the middle and the shorter ones go on the end in that order. The small screw holes will drill into the plexi-glass.

Without doing anything with the plexi-glass (we will get to that in a minute), drill the screws provided from the bottom of the bottom piece.

Have the screws slightly protrude from the top (maybe a quarter inch).

Now it is time to add the plexi-glass. SLOWLY drill from the bottom into the plexi-glass. This is the most delicate stage of building the arch. Go slow and if it isn’t super tight, don’t worry. The arch gets stronger once you put the slats in.

For arches that are sitting on a ledge or window sill, with the slits facing inside the room, simply screw down through the bottom rail into the wood beneath the arch. You are drilling down through the bottom part at the location you see as a best fit. This hole is not pre-drilled for you. I like to use the back behind the plexi-glass so you do not see it but ledges have different depths so use what is best.

For arches that are sitting on top of wooden or faux wood blinds, it is the same concept. Take your existing blind out of the brackets. Put your arch carefully on top of the brackets. Drill from the bottom of the bracket up into the bottom of the arch. Again, there are no holes to guide you. You need to choose the best spot. Once that is done, put the blind back into the brackets.

Once the arch is firmly in place, it is now time to install the slats. Start with the biggest slat at the bottom and then work your way up. You can feel the arch getting stronger as you add the slats. Adjust the slats so they are straight. You are then done. TIP: For arches on top of an existing blind, if that blind has a valance, pull the valance up to hide the light gap.

We have a new shade design called vista pleated arches that cover arch windows. These are high quality shades that have a nice, clean, formal look. They are available in one-inch pleats for smaller arches and two-inch pleats that are designed to cover larger windows.

There are thirteen different collections of these shades, from the simple elegance of the Antique and Horizon collections, to the bold colors of the Plaza Collection. Many different patterns and textures are available, as well as a variety of colors. Whether you are looking for a plainer look that will not attract a lot of attention, or if you want a bolder look, you will find what you are looking for with vista pleated arches. To make the best choice for your home, free samples of every style of shade are available. Instead of ordering from another company and paying for shades before you know how they will look, if you order from Shades Shutters Blinds, you can decide if you like the shades before you buy them.

Vista pleated arches are a good choice when it comes to covering arched windows. The blinds can help reduce the amount of sunlight that comes into the room, which will help keep the room cooler in the summer. Shades can also insulate windows against heat loss during the winter. Putting shades over your windows will give your home more style and personality, and shades can help to tie other elements of the room together and give it a more finished look.

When ordering vista pleated arches from Shades Shutters Blinds, be aware that these shades are designed to fit arch windows where the height is equal to half the width. If this is not true for the window you plan to cover, simple instructions are available on the website to help you draw a template of your window. This allows you to customize your shade to fit virtually any arch.

On all standard orders, shipping is free. This makes ordering easy and convenient. Price quotes are available right on the website; just enter the dimensions of your window and choose the color of blinds you want. Because arch windows are not as common as standard windows, many people may believe that buying customized shades for these windows will be expensive, but if you order through Shades Shutters Blinds, quotes are available instantly, and prices are lower than the suggested retail price.

Shades Shutters Blinds has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This is a good indication that the company is trustworthy and sells a high quality product. According to the Better Business Bureau, this company has not received any complaints within the past three years. Shades Shutters Blinds has great customer service and is a company that is easy to do business with. If you are looking for shades for your window arches, this is the place to go!

For some of our arches, we will allow you to make odd shaped window treatments. For window arches where the height does not equal half the width, a template will be required. A template is simply a cutout of the window opening. When it is sent in to the factory, they will lay the template on a table, iron it out, and make the blind to that piece of paper. Although this is a little time consuming on your end, making a template is very easy.

All you need to make a template is some paper, a pen, scissors, and some tape. First, look at the opening. How much paper do you need to cover the whole thing with some overlap? Cut out the paper with the scissors to make the paper slightly larger than that opening. You then will need to lay the paper over the arch and tape it up. It is not uncommon, especially for larger openings, to have to tape one section at a time and then go back to straighten it out.

Once the paper is taped up tight over the opening, get your pen and trace around the edge. I sometimes will just use my thumb and run it around the opening. Take the template down and write “this side facing the room” so we do not make it backwards by accident!

Next, cut out the trace you just did and then write your name, address, phone number and what product your want on the front of the template. Fold it up and mail it to us. We will call you once it shows up to get payment and go over any questions you might have.

None of our suppliers will warranty a template that was made wrong. In pretty much any circumstance, the reason it doesn’t work is because you used the same template for multiple window arches. You need to make a template for EACH opening! I know, it’s tedious but it is required and in the long run will solve any headaches that can occur.

Be patient on arched blinds. They take about three weeks to make and another few days to arrive. It is worth the wait.

We just added a totally new collection of pleated arches that are great for those hard to cover arch openings. We have a fantastic collection of colors and textures to choose from. Go to Pleated Arches to view this new collection. For perfect arches, we need just the width and half the height to place the order. If your arched opening is not perfect (the height does not equal half the width), you will need to mail us a template so we can cut it correctly.
