Alouette™ LightLouvers by Hunter Douglas™ to be retired

We have been informed that starting May 1st, 2009, Hunter Douglas™ will longer be making the Alouette™ LightLouvers blind and it will be permanently retired. We asked our fabricator if this was true and the response was that material are no longer being stocked. If you like the Alouette™, order those now while supplies last. Hunter Douglas™ is excellent on customer service and will still provide their awesome warranty until everything is gone and out of the supply. I can’t be sure of the actual date but believe this line came in around 2000 or 2001 so it had a nice run. An interesting alternative is the new Piroutte™. It is nice but still has the sheer that the Alouette™ didn’t.
