Blackout cellular shades are the perfect solution for day sleepers, nurseries, media rooms or any other area where the light needs to be blocked out.

Blackout Cellular Shades are honeycomb shades that look just like a bees hive when looked at from the side. Not only are they extremely energy efficient, they will allow no light through the fabric.

These are popular for nurseries, day sleepers, media rooms or for people who just like to sleep in. Many people will outfit their common areas such as a living room with light filtering shades or translucent shades and cover the windows in private areas like bedrooms with these blackout cellular shades.

We provide three types of blackout cellular shades. The first in the single celled blackout. It comes in a 3/8" pleat and the hugely popular 3/4" pleat. If you look at the material from the side, it has an interior that looks like a metal milar. It is MUCH more durable than you might think and blocks virtually all the heat and cold. The material is white facing the street. This is our most popular selection for blackout cellular shades. The second is the double celled blackout which is the same thing but has TWO cells butted together. It still has the metal milar and is white facing the outside. The pleat size is a decent 3/8". This not only blocks virtually all the heat/cold and light but also starts providing sound blockage. Lastly is the discount blackout shade. Not only is this affordable and made in Texas, it does NOT have the metal milar in the middle like the others. Some prefer this. It is still white facing the street and comes in a 9/16ths" pleat. The fabric is thicker in order to block the light.

Options with all of these blackout cellular shades are: Top Down, Bottom Up, Cordless (except for the 3/8" single cell), cordless top down, bottom up and the continuous cord loop. You can motorize the 3/4" and 3/8" single celled blinds. Simply go to step two once you pick what color you like and the size.
