Options Available for Blackout Cellular Shades

		Inside Mount The blind is mounted inside the window frame; offers a tailored look, emphasizing the actual size of the window.  Any deductions will be made by the manufacturer.  Window casing should at least meet the minimum depth required to accommodate the brackets, or the flush mount depth to have the headrail fully recessed in the casing.  When selecting your size, enter the actual dimensions of your window casing.
		Outside Mount The blind is mounted on the wall or molding outside the window frame to cover an area larger than the window itself.  Outside mounted blinds are required if the window casing is not deep enough to accommodate the mounting brackets for an inside mount.  When selecting your size, enter the desired size of the blind itself - at least 1 1/2" of overlap on each side is recommended.
		Standard Cordlock You pull a string to lift the blind up and down. Pull outwards to lock and inwards to release.
		Standard Cordlock Top Down/Bottom Up You have two strings. One to lift it up and down like a normal shades and one on the other side to drop the shade down from the top. Our most popular upgrade.
		Continuous Cord Loop A thick cord lifts the blind up and down. The headrails are thicker and more sturdy. The string never gets longer. You just pull the loop. These are made for very large windows and are required for some sizes.
		Standard Cordless The shade operates with a handle or handles located at the bottom. Simply lift them up or down to raise or lower the shade
		Cordless- Top Down/Bottom Up You have two handles. One at the bottom to lift it up and down like normal and one at the top that allows you to drop the shade while still maintaining privacy.
		2 on 1 Headrail These are two working blinds on one common headrail. They are designed for large windows. You can get the standard cordlock controls or the continuous cord loop. Other options are not available. Call for pricing.
		Motorization Blinds go up and down with just a touch of a button.

Detailed Description for Blackout Cellular Shades

The unique construction of single blackout cellular shades does an excellent job of blocking out unwanted light. The shades are made of a honeycomb construction. Each row looks like a narrow hexagonal tube that is about 1/2 inch round and cut to the desired length for your windows. The 6-sided design blocks out the light very effectively. If you like to sleep during the day, close the single blackout cellular shades and you will think it is the middle of the night.

Adding strength and acting to keep any light from penetrating is a metal milar in the middle of the shades. Unlike a cheap set of plastic or vinyl shades, these shades are designed to completely block out light and have an R-Value of around 5.0, which helps lower energy costs.

There are several different ways that these blackout cellular shades can be installed. Most people prefer an inside mount where the shades are mounted inside the window casing. This type of mount gives a sharp, clean look. If your window casing is not deep enough to accommodate the depth of the cellular construction and mounting hardware, an external mount is available. You should leave about an inch and a half overlap on each side of your window when using an exterior mount.

These blackout shades are available in many different designer colors that can match any decor. They look great in small windows as well as very large windows. If you really want to go all out, you can install a motorized system that will allow you to raise and lower your shades from as far away as 35 feet with the battery-operated remote control.
