Sunscreens to be discontinued are: Strie Bone ST 9000, Strie Taupe ST9010, Strie Cinnamon ST 9020, Strie Dark Beige ST 9030, Vue Veil VV9070, Vue Veil Ivory/Beige VV9080, and Vue Veil Beige VV9090. According to Prestige, the manufacture of this product, "Please be advised that due to manufacturing issues, the fabrics are being discontinued and will be removed from the system. It is unfortunate however, repeated attempts by the supplier to remedy the issues associated with the use of this fabric in the manufacturing process left us with no alternative but to take them out of the collection." Basically too hard to make without mess-ups. They will continued making this product until all resources are used up so if you have an order out for these materials, they will still be made.

Many bugs have been worked out. Main one was lack of estimated ship dates and tracking info. All orders have been placed but some customers will not get tracking info. I will try to get the back ones caught up today but am sure some will slip through. Do not worry. They are coming and thanks for your patience.

Prestige has been having some back order issues and I finally managed to get a full list. It looks long but it isn't that much out of the thousands of colors and fabrics they provide. First type, color name and then material arrival time. Hope this helps and if you are on this list, we will do whatever you want and we totally understand.

We just added 10 new fabric selections to our Prestige Bamboo Blind Collection. All can be found at Prestige Woven Woods Group 2. Fabrics are: Glendale, Mt. Prospect, Drexel Hill, Barrington, Ballantyne, Arlington, Avondale and Sunset Cliffs. All are priced in the medium category except the Avondale which is in the least expensive category. Nice fabrics at a nice cost.

BlindShadeMotors offers the perfect solution for your home automated blinds. They supply the motors, remotes and accessories for basically any blind and window covering conversion. Blind Shade Motors operate out of Holland, Michigan and have products available online. They provide basically the exact same motors (Somfy) that you would normally have to purchase a whole new blind for. I added them to Blinds Parts on our friends page if you want to check them out.

We are now working on a page that will be dedicated solely to Eco friendly blinds. Fortunately, we are in a industry where energy efficiency added to a home is pretty much a given for all of our products and is probably the most cost effective way to block out the heat and cold from your home. Most blind companies now offer this "energy efficiency" for all their products. We feel that is just a given and information is fine on that but needs to go beyond just energy efficiency. We added three logos to our site in certain pages to show what is actually certified for environmentally friendly products and not just energy savings. First is the recyclable logo. This will be on pages where the manufacturer actually recycles that product or uses recycled materials. The second is the GreenGuard emblem that shows that the product will not emit any toxins in the air and lastly, the EcoGreen logo that meets several Department of Energy criteria. You can click on each logo to take you directly to those sites to verify that product is eco-friendly.

Two of our suppliers are having trouble getting stock for the woven woods. Prestige Collection Belltown and Manaca Cocoa is on backorder until 6-15-08 and in the Rio Collection colors: 68-Tapera, 34-Galvez, 22-Vitoria, 24-Socorro Gold, 11- Franca Natural, 28-Lorena Pine, 31-Monte Carmelo are due in first of July. We totally understand the inconvenience and will be glad to refund your order, continue to wait or switch fabrics. Unfortuantely, we have no control of this and are trying to inform each one of our customers that have placed an order for these fabrics. I normally don't post too much personal stuff but mom and my daughter gave these pictures to me for fathers day and I thought they were so cute I had to share. These were taken by my house and down the road in Perry Park. The first picture where my daughter is smelling the flower, that is a columbine which is the state flower of Colorado.

For perfect arches, we need just the width and half the height to place the order. If your arched opening is not perfect (the height does not equal half the width), you will need to mail us a template so we can cut it correctly. Prestige has discontinued six colors in their fabric vertical line and one color in their roller shade collection. For the fabric verticals, Itaca White IT1031, Itaca Vanilla IT1082, Itaca Sandbar IT1013, Linen White LE130, Linen Natural LE230 and finally Lattice White LA450. The stock on these fabrics have been depleted and no more are available.

This is one of the easiest repairs and often one of the most common. How to shorten a cord. This applies if the cords are too long or you ordered the cords too long on purpose for high up windows. This method also applies to all the horizontal blinds as well. Tools need are; two hands, a pair of scissors and about a minute of your time. First, decide how long the cord should be. Second, slide the tassel up to allow access to the end of the cord. Third, re-knot the cord at the desired height. Lastly, cut off the excess cord and slide the tassel back in place. That is it. Quick, easy, perfect. All of this information comes from the hunter Douglas Recipe for Success series.

We just added the new Comfortex Symphony Double Cellular Blackouts. This is a 3/8" double honeycomb fabric made of the metal milar found in our single blackout cells. They look better, hang smoother and best of all, 99% energy efficient. We replaced the old Comfortex Matinee that had the gray backing with this new product. Our Hunter Douglas guy Joe Marley came to Broomfield for some project suggestions. He dropped by our store and said that the Hunter Douglas Everwoods and the Hunter Douglas Woodmates are not longer made of any type of PVC material and make all the Greenguard requirements. This is the first totally eco friendly alternative wood horizontal blind on the market.

This color is discontinued. Please read what Prestige has to say: We have depleted our inventory of Natural Woven pattern BORA BORA WT115 from our Natural Woods Woven Treasures collection, therefore, effective immediately it will be discontinued and removed from our system.

There are many reasons for the decision to discontinue this pattern:
-Pattern is a very slow mover
-Stock has been depleted
-Minimum ordering requirements
-Length of time to get additional material

All of this information comes from a "Recipe for Success" card given out by Hunter Douglas Window Fashions. How to level a Vignette.
1. Access the bottom rail weight from the back of the shades.
2. Simply push up on the weight clips to release, then move the clips and weight one inch at a time toward the side where the fabric gathers at the end cap.
3. Slide the weight clips snug against the weight and secure; test and repeat as necessary.
4. If the issue persists, the window may be out of square. Be sure the shade is mounted so the head rail is level. Always use a carpenter's level to be sure.
