American made Blinds we offer
Please note: This disclaimer is necessary due to a letter faxed to us by
American Blinds (TM): We are not related to American Blinds (TM) and Wallpaper (TM).
If you came hear looking for that site, you are in the wrong place. This is
strictly an article about the American made window
coverings
we sell and has nothing to do with them. If you want information about American
Blinds (TM) the company, go to
Marketing Pilgrim. Andy Beal has an excellent article about them. Their
official site is American Blinds and
Wallpaper.
Over the years we have been asked over two hundred times what products are
American made blinds. Below is a list of our window coverings that
are manufactured 100% in the USA. We cannot guarantee that all the components
that go into the window treatments are American made because we do not know for
each and every one. Another thing to consider is that some of the suppliers
headquarters are not in the USA. For instance,
Hunter Douglas
(who knew?) is a Dutch company. However, we will guarantee that the products
listed below are totally made from scratch at factories located all over the
United States, made by Americans. You will find that most of these are the
same price or actually less than some of the shades made
over seas. We have worked very hard to negotiate prices with these factories and
over the years we know most of the owners, managers and even employees of these
US manufacturing plants. I actually worked for a couple over the years. All of
these products carry a lifetime warranty and are of the highest quality.
If given the choice between an American blinds company verses and overseas
one, I think most will choose the American one especially if it is the same
price, lower, or even slightly higher. I know I would (and do).
Most of our products are made right here in the USA so I think it will be
easier to point out what blinds are not made here. We choose to
include the woven woods also to this list because although it is assembled here,
most of the construction is made over seas. We also included the VinylBilt
Shutters because all of the extrusion process is in Canada. Thank you.
